Christine is best known for her role as Dr. Susan Gaddas in Coronation Street, a character she has played since 2014, Daphne Bryant in 5 episodes of Downton Abbey, Miss Hicks in the hilarious children’s series My Phone Genie and as the Housekeeper, Mrs Harvey, in The Grand. Other credits include French & Saunders, Daziel & Pascoe, The Grand, Wire in The Blood, Bodies, Doctors, September Song, Brief Lives, Prey, 2 Pints of Lager, New Street Law, Fat Friends, Hollyoaks, Casualty, Holby City, The ‘A’ Word, Clocking Off, Banana and many more.
Theatre work includes seasons with the Dukes Lancaster, Oldham Coliseum, Octagon Theatre Bolton, Hull Truck, Belgrade Coventry and tours with the Dukes, Women’s Theatre Group & Perspectives, in roles from Shakespeare, JB Priestley, Victoria Wood, Alan Bleasdale, and Charlotte Keatley to Deborah Levy, Brendan Murray, Richard Shannon, Zosia Wand and Sarah MacDonald-Hughes.
